Inhibited sexual desire
Inhibited sexual desire is a loss of desire that disrupts sexual
relationships, accompanied by diminished sexual attraction and decreased
sexual activity. People with inhibited desire have few sexual dreams
Almost all man experiences sometimes lack of desire, erectile dysfunction
or premature ejaculation at some point or the other in his life.
Such incidents can be related to:
1. Stress (anxiety)
2. High blood pressure (medication)
3. Drugs (steroids)
4. Psychological (insecurity in a relationship, self, or from emotional
or financial loss).
The dysfunction is often temporary, and most women are understanding
of the occasional failures a man may experience and do not make
a big deal out of it. However, some men respond to episodes of failure
in a manner that leads from performance anxiety to anticipatory
anxiety, and the problem becomes chronic rather than transitory.
In this case the therapy is strongly recommended.
